Young and extremely popular singer-songwriter, she's one of history's best selling artists. Born in Barbados, she grew up to appreciate reggae music and began singing as a child. When she was disturbed by the chaos of her family life, and her constant disputes with her father she began to get involved in music. Before long she realized she was destined to become an accomplished professional. In her teens, she joined a musical band. Evan Rodgers auditioned her and was extremely impressed. The producer requested that the teenager be relocated in New York and pursue a performing career that was full-time. Rihanna jumped at the chance to take it. Rihanna became an instant hit as her debut album landed on the shelves. Rihanna was loved by the youth for her peppy, foot-tapping music. This led to Rihanna pursuing directing.
